Current working progresses
Meet 'Determination'. This piece focusses on the determination of light to find a way to shine through, even when the clouds loom in obstruction.
Inspired by a calming trip to the beach last summer, this is 'Refuge'.
Sometimes life can get a bit hard, and you can feel like you're sinking. 'Determination' captures the beauty of working to stay afloat.
'Spring Joy' is to celebrate the bright and rich possibilities of the upcoming season.
'Flux' - it's all about finding ways to ride the waves and brace life's upheavals. This too shall pass.
'New Hope' - this piece features a rain-soaked Iris blooming and braving the changing seasons. In Greek mythology, the goddess Iris travelled between heaven and earth to deliver important messages. The rain represents the opening of the heavens to water the ground and make way for new possibilities, while the flower stays steady, rooted in the earth. I saw this piece as a way to explore times of grief or personal struggle. The seasons keep turning, and you'll find ways to continue to flourish, with those around to keep you grounded.
